FLOW CHART
& STEPS

Our Goal is to meet all of your requirements and expectations with a top quality Sportsmobile. One that you'll be proud of and enjoy for many, many years.

We take this responsibility very seriously — as a moral obligation to you, our customer. Plus, it’s just good business on our part. A high percentage of our sales each year are repeat customers and referrals.

The Following Steps are not necessarily in order.

First Study All The Standard Plans. Circle the plans/specs and features you like. Use the process of compromise and elimination.

Then Choose The Size Van That Best Fits Your Needs. Sales are about equal each year for the RB (Regular Body) or EB (Extended Body) vans. The EB has a longer body than the RB. The ride and handling characteristics are essentially the same. Ford or Chevy/GM? See the “Select Your Van” sheets by clicking on the "Cost - All Price Lists" menu button for specifications and cost.

Select A Top Penthouse (expandable top) or a Fixed Top. See "Options" menu button.

Consider Additional Options, such as the A/C, furnace, a toilet, larger refrigerator, running boards, etc. Also see the Design Your Own pages for information on electrical, propane and plumbing systems.

Sportsmobile Cost See the price sheets by clicking on the Cost menu buttons.

Choose Fabrics & Colors Contact us and we will send you samples.

Any Questions? We have knowledgeable personnel, with years of experience, at all three plant locations who will be glad to help you. See our Contact sheet.

And Finally, send a copy of your paperwork, cost sheets, etc. to Sportsmobile. We'll review them for errors and add comments we feel may be helpful to you. Then we'll return the material.

Want To Order? All it takes is a $500 deposit, or $2,000 if the van will be a diesel and/or have 4-wheel drive. When we receive your deposit, we will phone you again for a final review. Keep in mind you can change the Sportsmobile conversion and options order up to two weeks prior to our starting the actual production of your Sportsmobile.

A "Standard Floor Plan" Example

*Marine Toilet Location is limited. See different floor plans for location examples.

*Porta Potti It's the most popular toilet. Location is flexible.

Refrigerator 3 CF is standard. A 4 CF refrigerator is optional.

Windshield Curtain is form-fitted to go over the dash for more interior space.

EB-43
Extended Body Van

Day/Nite Shades are standard for van side windows.

*TV/VCR Cabinet can locate over most rear seat/beds. Some prefer to stow the TV in a cabinet during travel. Flat hinge-down TVs also available

Privacy. A "bi-fold" door will work with most floor plans. A curtain that snaps in place or slides on a ceiling rack can be used with other plans

Changing Furnishings is often easy. At some point however, it may be better to use the "Design Your Own" floor plans and cutouts. It doesn't cost any more.

Can Appliances Be Added Later? Some can. In most cases, it's just a matter of making a notation on your production order. You can add a stove, furnace, hot water heater, generator and air conditioner at a later date. If you delete the propane system, it can also be added later.

Lights & Electrical Outlets such as drink holders, flip hooks, assist handles, bungee cords for cargo, etc. can be added when you take delivery of your Sportsmobile. These are no charge items.

Plenty of Storage "We had more storage than we thought we would," is a comment we often hear. Over the years, we've become very proficient at optimizing the space in a Sportsmobile. Keep in mind, if you have enough "stuff" to last a week, you can literally travel for months — just stopping for food, laundry and fun.

For A Good Night's Sleep Sportsmobile uses the same best quality foam that the more expensive "big" motorhomes do. Seat/bed foam consists of soft foam laminated to very firm foam. Covers are quilted. This is a very comfortable combination that's been "comfort tested" over many years. The foam feels soft, yet provides good body support.

Plus, you will not feel the cushion "cracks" or upholstery buttons. The removable back cushions can be slanted for comfort. Be sure to attach the retainer straps when traveling.

For Privacy bifold doors, accordion doors and curtains are available.

Storage is maximized under the seats and is easily accessible. The fresh water tank and electrical center will take up some, if not most of the space under one of the seats, depending on the seat length.

Seat Belts All seats include lap belts. Outboard seats that face forward have lap/shoulder seat belts.

Tops
A Fixed Top or Penthouse can be selected for any floor plan. Each has its own unique advantages. If you ordered a fixed Top, a TV, microwave and other items can be located on an upper shelf in place of a lower cabinet. See "Options" for more information.

Baths
There are lots of different possibilities for bath arrangements. See the "Options - Baths" menu button.
