This work van was built for Sergei Kalinin of Siberia. It’s a Ford E350 4-wheel drive. The Sportsmobile is equipped with Mattracks wheels/tires, which make it almost tank-like, to withstand long commutes in the long harsh winters and wet weather of Siberia. Siberia has eight months of snow and winter weather and four months of wet weather with plenty of mud.
Sergei is a construction contractor who spends long winters working from this type of vehicle. The Mattracks wheels/tires can be easily converted from one to the other. This photo shows the tracks sitting beside the tires.
The custom interior includes swivel chairs, day and night shades, bed, marine toilet, shower, microwave, diesel galley with stove, and refrigerator. Air-conditioner, Espar furnace, water heater and lots of storage compartments.
The vehicle left Sportsmobile in late August 2010 and was trucked to New York, where it was created and shipped to Finland. Kalinin received the vehicle after one month at sea. He then drove it to Russia.
