This Mercedes Sprinter 144 High Roof camper van conversion features a custom SCA fiberglass top that adds permanent headroom over the cab area without a pop-up mechanism, giving the roofline a clean, low-profile look that’s ideal for taller garages and lower-clearance environments. The Sportsmobile build team converted this high-roof Sprinter 144 into a fully self-contained van with sleeping, full bathroom, kitchen, and climate control packed into a 144-inch wheelbase platform.
The interior centers on a dinette seating area that converts into a sleeping surface, flanked by a butcher block countertop galley with an Isotherm refrigerator and microwave. A full wet bath with a macerator toilet sits toward the rear, and underfloor storage provides accessible space for gear without eating into the living area. The Webasto Rixen D5 handles on-demand hot water and diesel heating, while a Danhard undermount air conditioning unit provides quiet, efficient cooling through the summer months.
This build is well-matched for two-person couples, solo overlanders who want full bathroom capability, or anyone who logs extended time in the van and refuses to compromise on comfort. The SCA top is a strong choice for owners who park in residential driveways, covered campgrounds, or urban environments where a raised penthouse top would cause clearance problems.
