Travel Smarter, Adventure Longer: Discover Our Family-Friendly Van

Featured Builds
Check out this custom van build for camping, road trips, and day-to-day use.

It was a pleasure to once again team up with Mercedes-Benz of Park Place at the State Fair of Texas for the third year in a row! This year, we showcased something a little different—a custom van build designed with busy families in mind.

While many of our vans are built for outdoor and off-road adventures, we know that not all adventures happen off the grid. This van is crafted for families who need a flexible vehicle for both travel and everyday life.

A Closer Look at the Features

Step inside through the sliding passenger door, and the first thing you’ll notice is the two-seater bench directly behind the driver’s seat. It’s not just any bench—this one swivels! Face it forward while on the road, then turn it to the side for a more open, flexible space when you’re parked or camping. Plus, it folds out into a bed, perfect for a quick nap or overnight sleep.

And it’s not just the bench—the front seats swivel, too. This clever design turns the front of the van into a cozy living, working, or dining area when you’re not driving.

Behind the bench seat, there’s extra space that you can customize based on your needs. Want to travel with six people? Add another bench seat. Prefer more storage? You can install a closet to tuck away gear and essentials.

A Cozy, Functional Galley

As you move toward the back, your eye will be drawn to the stunning butcher block counter in the galley—a true showpiece with its rich, warm stain. It adds a homey touch to the van’s interior. The galley also features a stainless steel sink, a tankless hot water heater, a microwave, a 3-cubic-foot refrigerator, and plenty of storage both above and below the counter.

Opposite the galley, you’ll find a toilet compartment with an electric Porta Potti, offering convenience for those on-the-go moments.

This van was thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of busy families, whether you’re heading out for an adventure in the great outdoors or navigating life in the city.

As a Road Trip Vehicle

Road trips have never been easier. With everything you need onboard, you’ll only have to stop for fuel! You can make meals and take comfort breaks right in the van, avoiding the hassle of public restrooms—unless, of course, you’re passing a Buc-ee’s. In that case, it’s practically a requirement to stop and enjoy the iconic Beaver Nuggets!

The comfort and convenience of traveling in this van will definitely put an end to the kids’ relentless “Are we there yet?” questions.

As a Family Vehicle

For day-to-day use, this van is a lifesaver for busy families with kids. Long weekends at sporting events? No problem! You’ll have a comfortable place to relax between games, avoid questionable ballpark facilities, and take a break from snack bar food. It’s your own little oasis, offering relief from the elements and keeping you energized as you support your young athletes.

As a Camping Vehicle

Like all Sportsmobiles, this van is built tough, perfect for your camping adventures. 4×4 for all weather and off-road use. As configured, it sleeps two, but if you need more room, you can add an SCA-style top* to sleep two additional people. The pop-top is accessible from inside the van, making it super convenient for family camping trips.

The Ultimate in Versatility

What makes this van truly special is its versatility. Whether you’re embarking on a road trip, running errands, attending events, or camping, this build adapts to your needs effortlessly.
